I’m responsible for developing Indiana specific strategies that brings our suppliers national brand plans to life at the local level; while maximizing sales and profitability for all three tiers of our industry. I also present promotional activities and suggestions to customers as instructed by the company, survey the account for merchandising opportunities, and have current sales support sheets available for opportunities to improve RNDC’s representation in the store.

Peerless strives towards being one of the most unique distilleries in the industry. Open to the public since 2015, Kentucky Peerless Distilling Co. currently has a 2-year rye whiskey and will introduce a 4-year bourbon in the summer of 2019. My daily tasks included leading tours of the distillery, conducting tastings of four different rye whiskeys, and taking calls for tour reservations. I also helped with a website audit, worked on potential social media posts, and listened in on marketing meetings. My time as an intern was an incredible learning experience.

With a vision to provide the highest- quality journalism, innovative marketing, and the best customer service, Louisville Business First was a great internship experience for me. My main objective as an advertising intern was to monitor competitor markets searching for unique advertisements in various media sources. I was also able to assist in selling advertisements to clients via email for a special publication that was published in the beginning of September. Other experiences I found helpful in pursuing a future career in sales was sitting in on sales meetings and traveling with sales reps on appointments.

UPS is a hands-on experience that requires a lot of effort and discipline. Working mainly as an unloader, my day to day tasks included handling packages coming from airplanes and trucks. The work hours change on a week to week basis which allowed me to have a learning experience through developing time management skills.
