Consultant at Standard Life Investments, leading design in Information Provision team. After extensive competitor research I was involved in numerous workshops with key stakeholders to discover best practice for information reporting. The project took place within an agile environment, design iterations were produced at speed for sprints across all asset classes.I continued to work on the project following the merger between Standard Life and Aberdeen Asset Management, which resulted in a rebrand and redesign of all reporting collateral. I also managed the rebrand within the internal client reporting team, and was responsible for communicating the brand across the team and ensuring that all new work was produced on brand.

As a freelancer, I worked across multiple roles. These included a design consultant for LendingCrowd, a peer-to-business lending company in Edinburgh, helping this start-up develop their brand through image strategy, online and press advertising. I also regularly freelanced for Editions Financial, producing brochures, infographics and webpages for some of the world’s largest financial organisations.

As Head of Design, I was responsible for the direction of brand and design within SWIP. By working directly with the Marketing team I produced both new and existing collateral, ensuring all work was on brand, and developing the brand when appropriate. Engaged with external agencies when workload dictated and acted as brand guardian on work produced. Worked with the Digital team, providing design input on many aspects of online marketing, including mobile design and apps. I worked directly with major stakeholders and board members to create influential literature designed for key clients. In summary, I helped to shape and influence the use of good, consistent design and elevated its importance and position within the business.

Employed as a Senior Designer within Prudential’s internal agency to ensure consistency across all aspects of the Prudential brand. As well as designing marketing collateral for all areas of the company in very short timescales, other responsibilities included managing a junior designer and helping with personal objectives and development.

Freelancing for various agencies and involved in all aspects of the design process, including pitch work, initial concepts, concept development, final production and website designs. Regular agencies included Family, The Leith Agency, Hookson and Multiply.

Cheltenham

Employed as an Online Designer to produce both web and print work. Responsibilities included creating online ads for companies such as the AA, Golf England and British Gas, websites for Mitel and Cats Protection, and designing a variety of print jobs from brief through to finished product.
