Sr. Financial AnalystAmazon Feb 2018 - May 2019Seattle, Wa, UsI oversee the site's financial health - including the ~$61M annual site budget and network efficiency forecasting. As the finance lead for one of Amazon's FCs I've improved KPI’s, VCPU, FCPU, and TPHby forecasting and executing tight variable and fixed cost plans. The Q4’18 and 2019 plans came in 99% to plan. This was achieved through due diligence on purchase orders by requiring ROI’s.Through process improvement projects I decreased VCPU down 16 cents YoY to $1.60. Through business tool development and fixed cost initiatives I decreased FCPU down 12 cents YoY to $1.25. Overall, I have decreased fixed and variable costs at my site and maintain the lowest VCPU in network yielding $2.1M in savings.Created a business tool to optimize spare parts in all North American Fulfillment Centers (NAFC), realizing~$14M in savings.Created a platform to teach operations leaders about planning, which scaled across network.Developed policy to decrease sites' variable/fixed cost per unit to lowest in network.Co-led the development of new business models, which led to a rapid increase in efficiency and savings of ~$880K.Owned and led 2 go green initiatives to implement solar panels and LED Lighting at site yielding $256K annually. Improved process through standardization and coaching. Associates were able to gain 10 additional units per hour in productivity, which saved our building on average $58/hr or $501,102/year. Capacity and Execution Planning: Planning station staffing for the RSP during Prime Week 2017. Worked with multiple teams and utilized Amazon’s resource library to manage manual/automatic stations. Shared plan across shifts and all were highly successful in maintaining a pick ask of roughly 60K customer orders per hour throughout Prime Week.Culture Building: Built team to have high morale and energy, engaged managers, and becoming a high performing shift. Influenced peers by asking questions, helping find solutions to their barriers, and sharing resources. Helped influence, mentor, and teach managers best practices that worked for own team’s success. Volunteered as an associate appeals facilitator to ensure fair and consistent practices were upheld. Continuous Improvement Project: Worked with managers on changing pallet labels.
