The NIMH-funded ALACRITY Center is a multidisciplinary team based in UW's Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences department and is comprised of human-centered design, education, and implementation science faculty. Our center’s primary mission is to address barriers that prevent underserved communities from accessing quality mental health treatments. My role at the center includes: - Assisting in designing, developing, and refining research protocols and proposals- Writing and reviewing human subjects institutional review board applications and consent forms- Developing and implementing data collection instruments- Recruiting and retaining study participants

The CREATIV Lab is directed by Dr. Patricia Areán and is housed in the UW’s Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences department. Our research focuses on streamlined behavioral interventions for adults struggling with depression and anxiety and strives to develop and evaluate evidence-based psychosocial interventions that are accessible to all clinicians and patients. My role at the lab includes:- Conducting clinical interviews to assess participants’ depression and anxiety levels and cognitive functioning- Conducting eligibility-screening interviews- Consenting research participants across several clinical and non-clinical trials- Managing and tracking participant incentive payments- Reconciling budget spending- Analyzing qualitative survey data

Provide intervention to young children with autism, including direct work with the child, developing individualized materials used in therapy, assisting families in organizing therapy space and materials, and managing records and data collection. -Manage Records and Data Collection: Record child's behavior/responses and code into measurable data. Organize and maintain computer and paper records of therapy. Collect observational and parent/teacher report data.-Provide Intervention: Work 1:1 with children age 12-42 months. Use resourceful thinking to target child's objectives, tailoring procedures and therapy to meet their choices, motivation, and learning style. Implement research and intervention protocols in accordance with model standards. Work under close supervision of doctoral and master's level project staff.

Research assistant studying risky behavior in Dr. Craft's animal behavior lab.- Recorded and analyzed data from ABET program into excel file- Managed ten rats in an animal behavior lab and ran animals through lever-pressing trials- Conducted literature reviews to determine similarities between studies

Coached adults and youth with developmental disabilities on how to transition into a work setting.- Mentored adults and high school students with developmental and intellectual disabilities- Ensured that individuals understood job responsibilities and carried duties out properly- Creatively demonstrated physical tasks in order to facilitate visual learning
