I am currently serving as the tech lead for front-end applications, which include web, iOS, Android, OTT, and Roku. My primary responsibility is to ensure that all team members are working together and aligned with business priorities. To achieve this, I have reduced the scope of the product roadmap, simplified communication, and requirements, and met with team leaders regularly to identify and resolve any issues promptly. I am responsible for overseeing project management and resource allocation to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery. I established a healthy work/life balance for my team, resulting in improved morale, productivity, and retention for both employees and contractors. By utilizing daily stand-ups, bi-weekly retrospectives, and weekly one-on-one meetings, I was able to reduce extraneous meetings and develop rapport with my team. Projects are now designed with a well-structured architecture plan and developed and deployed within the specified time. Throughout the process, I collaborated closely with my colleagues in the division to ensure that they were informed about my deliverables and that I received the necessary support to ensure my team’s success. I manage a team of 25 engineers to complete projects and develop a technical curriculum, resulting in increased productivity. Team progress was monitored through SPACE metrics.

I served as the lead architect and engineer for a content management system (CMS) re-platforming project. Our team was successfully able to reduce the time it took to produce new products from one month to less than a week. Additionally, we were able to decrease the number of bugs by approximately 25%. This project involved replacing a monolithic application from the early 2000s with a more modern architecture. To improve performance, I opted to use server-rendered React components on Document-oriented storage. By the end of the project, approximately 95% of the code was shared between all tenants of the application, thus reducing the need for engineering support and minimizing waste going forward. I led a team of ten engineers and provided training to QA and designers on the new stack's features and how they support their workflows. I led the development of a JavaScript game app that used our daily print assets to create embeddable games for other publishers, developers, and advertisers, expanding B2B opportunities.

I was able to boost customer sign-up conversion rates by approximately 15% by creating an innovative marketing website and online enrollment application. I collaborated closely with the sales, marketing, and design departments to introduce the new corporate brand and streamline the signup process for new customers, reducing friction and enabling them to complete the process quickly. I created a dashboard that allows B2B customers to access both real-time and historical data. Previously, this information was only available via email the next day. However, with the new dashboard, customers can now monitor their feeds in real-time. I developed a prototype application to bid on a TSA Precheck enrollment contract. Our goal was to simplify the in-person verification process by reducing the number of documents required. The website enabled users to upload pictures of their necessary documents directly through their browser's native APIs. All the uploaded documents were securely transmitted to TSA along with their interview report.

I was part of a small team of engineers maintaining a multi-tenant app with over 40 websites. We utilized theming and branding concepts to create property agnostic templates for every site, resulting in 80% shared client-side code. During my time at the company, we worked consistently to improve our mobile performance and increase the adoption of mobile technology. Initially, we experimented with an adaptive site using jQueryMobile. Later, we transitioned to a responsive site and eliminated the subdomain. We then developed a React Native application before creating native iOS and Android apps.

I was hired to support the current website while another team worked on transitioning to new CMS. When the transition ran long, I was asked to split my time and work on the transition too. Once this work was completed, I joined the corporate team and started working to support other properties on the CMS.
