Marine Security Guard Detachment, Regional Security Office* The Marine Security Guard Detachment works under the authority of the Regional Security Office.The mission of the Marine Security Guard Detachment is to protect classified material, mission personnel and government property.* Responsibilities of the Assistant Detachment Commander include:* Reviewing and writing extensive reports and cables for all actions taken on a daily basis.* Reviewing, writing and implementing Detachment directives, orders and policy letters.* In order to enhance interoperability, conduct training with Special Agents of the Bureau of Diplomatic Security on incorporating Marine Corps security operation policies.* Frankfurt, Germany – Restructured one of the largest detachments in the world to better improve operability with significant results.* Damascus, Syria – Was hand selected to lead a detachment that was recently attacked and improve security operations. Was instrumental in redesigning the security control center and assisting Diplomatic Security in a multimillion-dollar camera and physical security upgrade.* Chisinau, Moldova – Led newly deployed detachment in earning “Detachment of the Year”.
