Co-Founded what began as a biosensor product design company and later became a digital health software company that developed a novel means of estimating blood pressure using only a smartphone device

Built a small, mostly one-man, web application development shop, growing clientele into 20 organizations in under 18 months. Services rendered include cloud application development, website design, and logo design. I was known mostly for my ability to combine my proficiencies in code with an eye for design and offer services in a much more impactful and cost-effective manner - a combination hard to come by in the software industry. I became a proficient self-taught coder in Python, Objective C, Java, Javascript, and HTML/CSS and a graphic designer in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Clientele included life insurance companies, retail shops, pharmaceutical companies, physician practices, and apparel companies.

Interfaced between the Kythera R&D team and members of the Johns Hopkins University Cell & Tissue Engineering Lab in a team effort to identify the viability of commercial mockups of a pipeline bio-pharmaceutical product ATX-104.

Under the direction of Jennifer H. Elisseeff, PhD, played a small but eye-opening role as laboratory assistant in the research of biopolymer-based soft tissue regeneration.

As part of my biomedical engineering undergraduate senior design project, I interfaced with a cardiologist from Johns Hopkins Medical Center and led a team of undergraduate students in designing a surgical tool design concept to aid in speeding up a high-risk aortic aneurysm repair surgical process.

Under the direction of Jack Whalen, PhD, played a small role in identifying ideal metal alloys for use in fabricating a micro-electrode array of a surgically implanted retinal prosthesis intended to restore vision to blind patients suffering from retinitis pigmentosa and macular degeneration. The challenge was to identify a metal alloy that 1) was capable of being manufactured in a reproducible fashion 2) was durable enough to last inside the retina and 3) minimize heat transfer between the electrodes and retinal tissue.
