I thrive on finding creative solutions to problems faced by people, companies and governments. It is what gets me out of bed in the morning, and if I don't learn new something along the way then I won't sleep at night. Over 10 years, my career journey has traversed the disciplines of science, policy and finance. Evolving alongside the global imperatives for climate action, I focus on improving the environmental sustainability and climate resilience of Small Island Developing States (SIDS). Among my proudest achievements include:🔹Delivering timely financing interventions on behalf of USAID that will unlock over 300M USD in climate finance for the Caribbean region.🔹 Preparing Trinidad and Tobago's 2018 National Environmental Policy, 2021 National Adaptation Plan, 2021 Long-Term Low-Emission Development Strategy, and 2022 Updated National Climate Change Policy.🔹 Co-Developing green lending lines, sustainability strategies and Environmental and Social Management Systems (ESMS) for commercial banks in the Caribbean. 🔹 Contributing to environmental projects with a combined value of 17M USD across 13 Caribbean territories in the areas of waste management, blue/green economy, sustainability, disaster risk management, and climate change. 🔹 Supporting the Green Climate Fund Accreditation of 2 Caribbean entities & delivering GCF Capacity building to 20+ organizations.🔹 Serving as the 1st project coordinator for the Trinidad and Tobago's National Recycling Programme (ICARE) which won a 2019 President's Award for Public Service Excellence.🔹 Winning the 2021 National Youth Award for Science and Technology.I delight in tacking complex and discomforting situations and take pride in changing stumbling-blocks into steppingstones for my employers, stakeholders, and clients.
