  • Yahoo!
Director Of Engineering / Group Manager, Video
    Yahoo! Feb 2007 - Feb 2008
    Sunnyvale, Ca, Us
I managed engineering for video.yahoo.com (VYC), jumpcut.com and new players and tools. During this time I built out four teams: video.yahoo.com, Yahoo! Extensible Player (YEP), Yahoo! Video Advertising plugin, and QA. We delivered several versions of the ad plugin, a re-code of VYC front end (Feb ‘08), and a new AS3-based dynamically extensible video player platform, YEP, (Feb '08). Following these releases, these teams were spun out to some broader teams within Yahoo!, notably the media properties group and new video syndication platform group. During the transition I chose to take a break from management and focus on architecture and innovation for the video syndication platform group.
