DELMIA Quintiq is one of the leading and fastest growing supply chain planning, scheduling and optimisation software companies in the world with the goal of solving all the planning and scheduling puzzles in every industry around the globe. It currently solves puzzles and creating tangible value in the natural resources industry, oil and gas, logistics (rail, road and marine), manufacturing and workforce optimisation. In my role as a business consultant, I have to lead workshops and interview sessions with customers and identify their main problems. Then, analyse different aspects of their processes and come up with a solution design which leads to better decision making, more accurate planning and smoother operations. This role requires strong people skills, business requirements analysis, product development and customer training. Following are my responsibilities in this role:• Liaising with customers at all levels to reach a detailed understanding of their planning and scheduling puzzle, business processes and requirements.• Defining great working solutions that precisely meet the needs of the customers, based on the object-orientated modelling, described precisely with UML diagrams.• Form a vision for the SCP&O needs of customers• Take ownership of the solution, and be functionally responsible within the implementation team• Gather clear customer requirements within the project scope• Document the conceptual, logical and technical architecture for the project• Implement cutting edge industry solutions for challenging customer problems• Define and execute clear tests for the designed solutions• Train customers in the use of their new SCP&O solutions• Form a long-lasting working relationship with the customer
