Responsibilities Providing Finance business partnering services to a number of business areas within the bank. Managing the month-end process, leading monthly cost reviews, providing key decision support in the way of detailed financial analysis and heading up the quarterly & annual planning processes.  Working closely with business managers and senior stakeholders to provide ad-hoc analysis  Evaluating systems and MI reporting capabilities and developing process excellence through re-engineering. Achievements Re-engineered the team’s management reporting and KPI pack and lead the development effort using VBA and SQL data connectively tools which not only provided more valuable management information and business intelligence but also reduced manual intervention. The project took 9 months to complete and the key takeaways were a reduction of manual labour of 75% and increased stakeholder satisfaction due to the increased available of time spent on providing analysis and commentary. Developed an automated report using PeopleSoft financials that delivered itself to the Asset Servicing billing team on the 1st of each month which provided analysis of invoices that needed recharging to clients. Built a series of reporting cubes within IBM TM1/Cognos BI tool that improved reporting capabilities and speeded up forecasting activities. Headed up a project for investigating potential billing slippage/lost revenue within a business revenue stream ($5m/annum). The project took 12 months and led to a discovery of $0.7m in missing revenue.  Provided assistance with wider corporate projects, including the production of a business case and full investment appraisal for a $10m strategic platform consolidation project Assisted in the global revenue automation project which was commissioned to consolidate companywide revenue data into a single data warehouse which on completion assisted with MI reporting and business intelligence for strategic decision making.

One particular model would pull existing trading performance data from an internal database and then, given a number of user inputs such as ‘Proposed Discount’, ‘Expected uptake’, ‘Ave basket value’ and ‘length of campaign’, would provide a range of possible outcomes and their incremental effect on sales and margin.
