Sales specialist, in a constantly growing and evolving department. Working in the used sales department at Solotech, I have developed relationships with third party sellers and E-Commerce platforms. This includes monthly meetings to touch base with developers and owners of these marketplaces. This also includes monthly updates to our inventory and pricing, presented in a comprehensive form to clients and marketplaces. That, coupled with the complex, fast paced nature of selling used equipment that is shared with other departments, has proven beneficial to improving certain skills including time and resource management, negotiation, and logistical organization. I have also had the opportunity to gain experience with many softwares and systems. This includes Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power BI, Sales Force, Teams, Outlook, Slack, and R2 inventory software. In just a short period of time, I have had the chance to learn every aspect of our sales process, from negotiation, to more complex financial processes in Dynamics, and ultimately to local and international shipment of goods to clients. Over time my role has evolved to include more analytic tasks, such as pricing items and comparing existing prices with current market value, as well as filtering through data to make sure that all of our systems provide consistent information, and ultimately optimizing our sales process by monitoring data and providing technical support when requested. As a result of my training in our various systems, I have been responsible for the training of new hires into the more detailed specifics of our department, as well as sales coordination company wide. Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, I have developed a detailed knowledge of different audiovisual systems, their requirements, functionalities, and ultimately market value and price.

I have worked with and maintained a strong relationship with this company and it's owners for almost 10 years now. During the time when I had a consistent position my responsibilities were as follows;• Setting up and testing portable equipment at the client's location of choosing, including the immaculate presentation of media apparatus. • Providing technical support and problem solving to all visual systems. • Training non-technical members of staff or third-party professionals on the basics of AV equipment; speakers, staging, lighting, projectors, microphones, etc. • Equipment loan and administration; ensuring all equipment hire is documented with receipt of hire, and the date of return us mutually agreed. • Communication with the head office to confirm that all systems are operating at an exceptional standard and resolve any issues that may require attention. • Ensuring that all equipment passes safety regulations. • Regularly handling media equipment, wires, cables, etc.• Assisting the marketing department by taking photos of events. • Leading and assisting with organizing events and stage setup. • Performing equipment maintenance duties such as cleaning, fixing and replacing. • Labelling and organizing equipment and devices in storage rooms. • Assembly of custom cabling as per guidelines and requirements given to me. This includes soldering, labelling, heat shrinking, etc. And finally, and perhaps most importantly, to maintain a smart and professional manner at all times.

As the technical director for this venue, from the day it opened to the day it shut down (due to the 2020 pandemic), my responsibilities were as follows;• Overseeing the audio and visual production process.• Setting up sound and lighting equipment.• Designing and executing audiovisual-related aspects of a production.• Providing technical support.• Advising management about technical requirements and equipment needs.• Preparing assessment of expected costs and setting up time estimates.• Preparing mockups and technical drawings.In doing so, I managed to develop and hone certain skills. such as;• Project management skills to ensure the team is on track• A more comprehensive understanding of sound and lighting, and the operation of production equipment• Computer proficiency and familiarity with industry-specific software• Time management and organizational skills• Communication skills, including active listening• Creativity and innovation • Effective problem-solving skills• Ability to lead and motivate a team to generate desired results
