My wife and I buried one of our daughters but then moved far from her grave. I had a strong connection to her grave so I created a miniature replica of her headstone to display in our home wherever we lived. To help others in similar situations who wish they could visit the gravesite of their loved one(s) more often, I started Memorial Minis (https://memorialminis.com). Send me a message if you have any questions about something I can create for you!I am also a licensed Civil Engineer with design and project management experience in both public and private sectors. My experience in the public sector includes utility design (water, sanitary sewer, stormwater), roundabout design, roadway design, capital project management, construction inspecting, and construction management.I have a passion for fish passage enhancement projects and open channel stream hydraulics. I was part of the Fish Passage Enhancement project delivery team with Thurston County, which has opened up miles of streams and thousands of acres of habitat by replacing stream barriers (as identified by WDFW) with fish passable structures. My experience as a private consultant was general land development, which included small/large retail, campgrounds, hotels, large commercial parking lots, gas stations, solar facilities, roadway and Right-of-Way improvements, and pedestrian safety improvements. I also functioned as a community relations consultant on a number of DOT projects.Experienced in: AutoCAD Civil 3D, Autodesk Storm and Sanitary Analysis, HEC-RAS, Excel (including VBA programming), ArcGIS, WWHM2012, Fusion 360.I enjoy flying drones and 3D printing.

I relocated to provide construction phase support for the new Raiders stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada (Allegiant Stadium).I reviewed and responded to RFIs and shop drawing submittals in coordination with the contractor, architect, landscape architect, and structural teams. I revised designs and plans quickly based on field conditions, plan discrepancies, and client-driven changes during the fast-paced construction. I adjusted site grading for ADA paths, ramps, stairs, retaining walls, parking lots, driveways, and plaza areas. I prepared multiple large submittal packages and coordinated with agencies for plan revisions.I also helped design and create improvement plans for projects related to the new stadium. These projects included multiple offsite parking lots, roadway improvements, sidewalk expansions, and pedestrian safety improvements.

I assisted in designing a culinary water well house for Lion's Park in Provo, Utah, to be used as a template for future Provo City culinary water wells. The plans were the result of months of collaboration with Division leaders and Section managers. I worked closely with the design engineer to produce a complete plan set.I designed over 2,500 feet of gravity flow sewer lines in AutoCAD Civil 3D, using data I collected with GPS surveying equipment. I created the surface, the alignment, and the pipe network.I used ArcMap and Autodesk Storm and Sanitary Analysis to assist in developing a working model for the city's sanitary sewer system. I also developed a working knowledge of EPANET, learned from working with the city's water distribution model.

I worked with a group of 2-3 other teachers to train newly assigned volunteer missionaries, whose areas of future service included Samoa, New Zealand, Australia, and other areas of the world where competent Samoan speakers were needed. The volunteer missionaries came to the Missionary Training Center in groups ranging from 1-30. The duration of their formal instruction lasted 6-9 weeks, after which the current group would leave and a new group would immediately replace them.We taught the missionaries the Samoan language and provided training on effective teaching techniques. We immersed them daily in the Samoan language and provided daily opportunities for them to teach and prepare for their missionary service. We also taught them the basics of the Samoan culture, to give them understanding and confidence in their ability to communicate with the Chiefs and Orators of Samoa.I prepared and presented instructional 3-hour lesson plans that were designed to help the missionaries progress in the language as well as understand religious topics. As they progressed, the missionaries taught me as if I were a native Samoan, and I immediately provided them with constructive feedback where needed. As teachers, we organized and prepared weekly schedules and collaborated with each other to provide the best learning environment for the missionaries. We also submitted weekly written reports for area presidents and supervisors regarding the progress and well-being of the missionaries.I personally taught more than 85 volunteer missionaries during my two years of employment.
