As Lead architect Ryan has managed the technical implementation of two FEMA Cloud migrations. The first was a prototyping effort of a cloud native version of IPAWS, FEMA’s nationwide emergency alert system. The source system ran on Oracle SOA, Oracle WebLogic, and Oracle EE. Due to Oracle licensing costs the project switched from a lift-and-shift to a rapid prototyping of a cloud native system. Ryan lead the architecture, and management of the team that developed and proved that IPAWS would perform better using OSS and AWS Cloud. Currently preparing to bring FEMA DAIP into production. DAIP is a rapid cloud migration of disasterassistance.gov from on on-prem datacenter to AWS GovCloud hosted OpenShift Clusters. Ryan lead the infrastructure architecture and implementation for this initiative.- RHEL 7, Ansible, Terraform, AWS GovCloud, Hybrid Architecture, OpenShift, GitLab, JenkinsAs Technical Lead Ryan wrote automations for applications, developed DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines, and managed the day-to-day sustainment for the cloud infrastructure. He worked with the development team to build the infrastructure needed to run their applications, then developed automated pipelines by which they could automatically run security scans on their code, and promote their code into development and production- Maintain the day-to-day operations for a mission critical FEMA systems. Ensuring that all securityrequirements were met, and that the system maintained its high SLA.- Developed highly available automated environments to ensure application uptime. Managed the day to day operations of the Leadership Institute’s (LI) web applications. The Leadership Institute has a custom built CMS, and CRM for internal use that powers their many front end sites, from CampusReform.org a college news site, to ConservativeJobs.com an interactive jobs search and job posting website. Day to day maintenance of legacy applications, building of new applications, such as a digital check in system for LI’s trainings, and rebuilds/redesigns of old applications. Was directly responsible for 11 CFML web apps, maintenance of our Gitlab repository, and our Chef Server.Primary stack was Windows 2012-2016, IIS 8-10, Adobe Coldfusion 8-2016. CSS3, HTML5, JS ES5, and Bootstrap 3-4. Also used Python, and Node.js for internal projects, including facial recognition, and desktop applications, and maintained 2 Ubuntu virtual servers. Implemented source control through Gitlab for all of our applications, developed cross platform deployment scripts in PowerShell, Bash and Batch. Setup Chef, and developed cookbooks to automate configuration and deployment of our full stack to web servers.

Singlehandedly managed, and ran all technological systems for the Roundtable. Including running and maintaining our domain. Deployed virtual fallback domain servers, wrote and managed Group Policy. Deployed Office 365 Hybrid Sync. Managed all technical contracts, vetted and audited vendors. Maintained the Roundtables Web presence hosted on virtual cloud servers.  Managed virtual servers through both VMWare and Hyper V.  Lead and completed the Database upgrade project, as well as a complete rebuild of one of our websites. Upgraded our Windows 2003 servers to Windows 2012 R2, including upgrading our SQL Databases from 2005 to 2012.  Configured OSX Server to serve as a Profile Manager to begin to manage our OSX devices to the same standard that our Windows machines were held to.

Designed and programmed dynamic, internal and external web pages. Primary developer of the CMS for CampusReform.org a news site that receives nearly 5 Million hits per year. Utilized MSSQL, ColdFusion, CSS, HTML, Javascript, Photoshop, and Illustrator.

Support all campus-owned computers, campus network maintenance as well as provided support for student computers, and monitored computer labs.
