KCF Technology, Inc. is a fast-paced, rapidly growing IoT shop changing the face of predictive maintenance in multiple large-industry verticals. I am fortunate to work with the software team as we solve the hard problems of collecting more than 700K measurements every minute from more than 50,000 sensors. In 2018 we helped our growing client base save more than $300,000,000 by avoiding costly downtime and unnecessary scheduled repairs.

• Create a new EnergyCAP data warehouse utilizing SSIS, SSAS Tabular, and Power BI to gain insights into client usage, cross-client benchmarks, operational data, and industry trends to find growth opportunities, improve internal efficiency, and provide input for future product enhancements• Spearhead a significant, multi-month overhaul of the EnergyCAP SQL Server database schema, reducing storage needs, significantly increasing performance, and utilizing new SQL Server features to provide competitive advantage to future product developments and client needs• Monitor SQL Server performance, tuning application queries and resource utilization to maintain a reliable and responsive SaaS platform• Design and implement statistical and machine learning models for utility bill prediction, outlier detection, and advanced peer-group analysis using R• Plan and implement the migration of more than 300 client databases from SQL Server 2008R2 to SQL Server 2017, including all setup, configuration and ongoing monitoring• Architect, develop, and manage Smart CAPture, a serverless, cloud-first SaaS application that connects Smart Meters to EnergyCAP, collecting real-time interval data from multiple vendors using VSTS, Azure Functions, Storage, App Service and Application Insights• Manage ongoing FedRAMP certification process

• Managed 15 development, QA, and user-experience staff to meet the requirements of thousands of clients and market demands, using Agile Scrum to deliver quality software at a rapid pace• Successfully spearheaded and executed the conversion of our legacy, client-server desktop application into a fully functional web application platform, utilizing .NET, Flex and Angular, delivering 16 major releases over a 6-year period. • Converted data access to a well-documented, secure, and performance-focused JSON REST API, accelerating core application development and opening integration's with clients and partners• Designed and managed the implementation of EnergyCAP Report Designer, an Excel PowerPivot plugin that utilized the API to provide self-service BI opportunities for staff and clients• Responsible for the day-to-day operations of our fully hosted SaaS environment, utilized by 2,000+ clients, processing more than 100 million requests a year

• Managed a growing IT infrastructure in multiple office locations including all wired and wireless networking, VoIP equipment, email, MSSQL and MySQL servers, Apache and IIS web servers, VM servers, backups and failover plans, licensing and CRM services• Transitioned our rapidly growing SaaS hosting infrastructure to a national data center• Planned and managed the development of the first EnergyCAP web platform

• Solely managed IT, supporting a growing staff through two office moves, including all physical infrastructure, hardware and software deployments• Implemented the first VoIP system, file servers, and CRM solution• Transitioned email and web hosting from a national consultant to in-house servers
