I was hired to lead monoclonal antibody, recombinant antibody, scFv, and nanobody projects against targets of interest to the neuroscience research community. I collaborate with fellow lab members to generate and screen the molecular binders using conventional assays as well as provide samples to collaborators for more novel brain immunolabeling assays. Achievements include producing new monoclonal antibodies, recombinant antibodies, scFv's, and nanobodies that are validated for use in immunoblots, immunocytochemistry, and immunohistochemistry.

I was hired to work with the Antibody Discovery Director on establishing an upstream antibody pipeline for therapeutic treatments. My work included overseeing the departmental laboratory efforts to develop, screen, and characterize potential therapeutics prior to final candidate selection. Achievements included developing antibody selection criteria based upon field research investigations and candidate data evaluation, mentoring junior lab members on lab methods and practices, and facilitating the transition of upstream process developments for downstream product quality control analysis.

I was hired to become the lead cell culture technician to bring stability and consistency for the In Vivo Department. I worked closely with study directors, scientists, and the operations team for study and lab related processes.Successes included relaying observations and suggestions that improved stem cells recovery rates for humanized mouse production, establishing new lab protocols for natural killer cell isolations, and optimizing supply order requests for the cell culture lab.

I was accountable for leading and overseeing the completion of multiple cell culture projects for a team of research assistants for this international biotech company.I gained an increased number of responsibilities and project oversight which included testing new CRISPR/Cas9 knockout cell lines, expanding hybridoma cell line stock inventories, and management of Microsoft Excel and Filemaker Pro databases.

I worked as a seasonal intern to assist the Blueberry Breeding department with the selection of new blueberry varietals. Was subsequently hired by the Entomology department and worked with the research team to perform various field and lab trials.Successes include distributing and managing weekly surveys from various company locations, collecting patent and shelf live data for new blueberry crosses, establishing Drosophila colonies for pesticide bioassays, and evaluating the efficacy of lure and bait trap designs.
