I am a Chartered Business Valuator who joined Portage M&A Advisory as the VP of M&A and Valuations in 2021 and became a partner in 2022. Before working at Portage M&A Advisory I worked at Taylor Leibow in the Business Valuation and Litigation Support department as a Business Valuation Specialist. Before working with Taylor Leibow I worked as a proprietary equities trader for a number of years before returning to school to pursue my MBA. While at school I had the opportunity to participate in co-ops with OSFI (The Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions), an institution that supervises and regulates federally registered banks, and Global Governance Advisors, a compensation advisory firm which advises on compensation, succession planning and corporate governance. At both OSFI and Global Governance Advisors I was required to frequently converse with senior management and boards of directors.My main focus is on business valuation and transaction advisory matters. My experience and schooling enable me to help entrepreneurs grow their businesses through strategic acquisitions and/or divest their business through effective exit strategies. Additionally, I also help clients increase the value in their business by effectively pinpointing value-enhancing strategies.Portage M&A Advisory consists of an adventurous group of professionals who are passionate about getting people to where they want to go. Our specialty is guiding business owners through the divestiture process, particularly private companies in the lower-middle market with an enterprise value of $4M to $40M.
