I founded Pixel Forge LLC in May 2022 with the goal of helping local small businesses transform their digital presence. Using varied solutions, from React and Next.js to Wordpress and online platforms such as Netlify, Vercel, Cloudflare, and Pantheon, providing a truly enjoyable digital customer experience is within every small businesses grasp at affordable rates.

I originally started at MCD Partners as a technical intern/associate for the summer of 2007. Since then I have freelanced for them on numerous occasions. In June 2012 I joined as a full-time developer. In 2013 I was promoted to Senior Developer and in 2015 I was promoted to Technical Lead. In 2017 I was promoted to Senior Technical Lead.As a freelancer, I designed and developed an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) for MCD Partners to track candidate applications, internal hiring workflows, and application statistics.I also designed and developed a Purchase Order (PO) System for MCD Partners to keep track of purchase orders made by the company, including internal approval workflows. This application was in use until 2020, giving it a product life of over 10 years.For a long time, I was responsible for backend architecture and API development/integration on both internal and client projects. As a Technical Lead, there is an emphasis on process standardization, client interaction, project planning and architecture, and team oversight.My engineering skills lie primarily with NodeJS, React, Prisma (MySQL/MongoDB/SQLite), Contentful, and GitHub CI/CD. My experience includes working on deployment platforms such as Vercel, Netlify, and custom servers/custom Docker scripts. I also have cursory experience with AWS, Typescript, and Remix.My work for clients ranges from quick engagements to long-standing, continuous delivery and maintenance projects. I am often required to engage in client meetings to extract requirements, pitch, provide updates, discuss new features, and maintain good relationships.Clients: Nordstrom, Discover Financial Services, Acima, Continental Tires, Lockton, Episode Six, Colonial Surety, Bayview Loan Services, Strategic Media Placement, Macmillan Publishing and E*TRADE.

I was responsible for single page projects under a project lead. Responsibilities included page development, responding to code reviews, and fixing issues that arise during the QA process.Clients during this time include: Discover, ETrade.

For a period of five years, while I was still in college working on my Bachelor's and Master's Degree, I freelanced on and off for MCD Partners as a web applications developer.Over the course of these five years, I built two more iterations of the Purchase Order System I created for MCD as a summer associate as well as a new Applicant Tracking System.The Purchase Order System was used until 2020. The Applicate Tracking System was built to receive applications via an API or manual entry, provide approval workflows, setup interviews, and provide offer letters.

For my summer college cooperative education credit, I lived and worked in NYC at MCD Partners. As a technology associate, not only did I contribute to web development projects, but also acted as IT staff.As a developer, I worked directly on client projects for AT&T and Discover. I was responsible for building the front end homepage for discover.com and also created the first iteration of the Purchase Order System used internally by MCD.
