Primary duties include deployment and configuration of routers, switches, firewalls and load balancers for Apollo’s next generation datacenters. This includes Cisco nexus 7000, 5000, and 2000 platforms, F5 BigIP load balancers, Checkpoint Power-1 firewalls.

Primary Duties include design and Implementation of Network Security Infrastructure for datacenter and remote campus locations as well as enforcement and configuration of adopted security policies and standards for network firewalls, proxies, and load balancers while providing assistance for Tier 2 and 3 outages or escalations.• Technical lead for remote office LAN optimization and content delivery network (CDN). Responsible for architecture and testing of proposed solutions and integration methodologies while securing shared resources for office personnel and University of Phoenix students or faculty at 250+ remote facilities with an estimated budget of $4 million dollars.• Network Security Lead for Subsidiary Domain Integration Project. Design and implement adopted security standards for acquired subsidiary to support the integration of Active Directory environments and other shared resources at subsidiary’s location• Las Vegas Datacenter Build out. Responsible for configuration and testing of F5 Big IP, Cisco Nexus 7010, and Checkpoint Security Gateways for new datacenter architecture.• DNS/DHCP Migration for Active Datacenter Decommissioning project. Provide technical oversight and validation of all activities involved in relocating seven active DNS/DHCP servers from one datacenter to another.

• Technical Implementations lead for Metro Building Uplift project. Work with network architect to complete design and bill of materials with an estimated budget of 17 million dollars. Project duties included re-IP of ten metro buildings while replacing legacy infrastructure with new Cisco Catalyst 6509 switches. Implementation of BGP and OSPF in a layer-3 to the edge design.• Technical Lead for Metro Fiber Ring Deployment. Work with vendor to install optical nodes over leased DWDM ring at seven locations and deploy Cisco Catalyst 6509 switches as BGP Transit routers with redundant 10G connections• Application Deployment Network Resource assisting in the build out of new applications within the enterprise and provisioning additional capacity. Also played an integral part in troubleshooting systems and application configuration problems during application development.• Assist with Union Hills Datacenter Build out• Implement Meru wireless solution at various locations• Integral resource with metro building layer-3 migrations from legacy layer-2 design
