I began working summers and holidays at Armstrong Mechanical, now Armstrong Plumbing, Air & Electric, at the age of 16. I worked alongside the lead CNC machinist, where I would import take-offs, create cutsheets, and fabricate ductwork. After two years of fabrication, I began helping with HVAC and plumbing installs on large commercial projects around Lubbock, both new construction and existing renovations and additions. In 2012, while a student at Texas Tech University I worked as a plumber's helper, installing the plumbing for Texas Tech University residence hall. After the residence hall was complete, I made the switch back to the fabrication shop to take over as the lead CNC machinist and this is where I stayed until graduating from South Plains College with an Associate degree in Technical Graphics and Design. After graduation from college, I was promoted to the position of Digital Projects Coordinator, where I drew up a set of blueprints for Armstrong's office and warehouse. This is when I proposed a new layout and plan of action that would allow for a more efficient workflow for each department within the warehouse and provide a more streamline fabrication process.
