I held many hats at Sungrow involving business analytics, supply chain logistics & operations, warehouse management, trade and supply chain compliance, aftersales service, finance, market research and analysis, sales operations, information technology. and others.Out of all the categories, I spent the most time in following categories:-Trade and Supply Chain: Traveled to all Sungrow manufacturing facilities routinely for supply chain objectives; established trade administration function internally, in charge of all import customs administration and upstream supply chain compliance-Warehouse and Logistics Operations: Led and finished execution of a 7-year, 175k+ square foot logistics facility lease; Served as primary logistics coordinator (yes, talked to truckers) for (in aggregate) gigawatts of Sungrow PCS and battery energy storage products in North America; supported development of critical logistical infrastructure (software + operational SOP's) for after-sales service parts division and their complex inventory challenges-Everything related to temperature-controlled operational handling of lithium-ion batteries - NMC + LFP chemistriesI valued doing much of the repetitive, boots-on-the-ground, "entry-level" work in order to manage more effectively as I grew into more senior roles at Sungrow. Impact Aborad is a four-week, summer exchange program that uses sports, specifically soccer, as a tool for youth empowerment, leadership development, and community building. Eight Stanford students join a cohort of 16 student coaches from Cambodia and Vietnam to lead a weeklong soccer camp in Vietnam and a two-week camp in Cambodia. Because there is limited access to organized sports, especially for girls, these soccer camps enable local youth to develop an interest in sports and develop team work, conflict resolution and other social skills. The program promotes cross-cultural friendships between students of two Southeast Asian nations with a long history of war and distrust. Since many of the campers are girls at risk for human trafficking, coaches teach valuable life skills and encourage campers to excel in school. Each trip includes 7–12 undergraduate participants, 1–2 upperclassmen leaders, and a Haas Center staff member. Trips are developed with Foundation for Sustainable Development (FSD) and Volunteers in Asia (VIA), our selected partner organizations that provide all in-country logistical support including an on-site director and local support staff.
