Principal Engineering Instructor
Current- Aiming to increase the number of teams qualified for the VEX World Championships over the next 2 seasons by improving onboarding and introducing engineering tactics to reduce iteration time.
- Coordinated with University of California, Berkeley to organize and host One World VEX Robotics Showcase, the largest VEX Robotics competition held in the Bay Area. Over 120 participating teams, including international.
- Spearheading adoption of the engineering design cycle to establish foundational decision-making skills.
- Utilized decision matrices to determine design of optimal end-manipulator; selected design achieved a top 5 finish out of 100 participating teams.
- Leveraging fishbone diagrams and other root cause analysis techniques to reduce downtime when encountering design failure/underperformance.
- Improving PID control protocols, improving tuning/adjustment speed by analyzing error graphs and focusing on minimizing time to objective.
