As the Nursing Home Administrator at Cypress Ridge Care Center, a 99-bed skilled nursing facility (SNF) in Monterey, California, initially under Plum and later acquired by Providence Group/ PACS, I spearheaded a transformative turnaround. Initially grappling with financial losses and low occupancy/skilled mix rates, my strategic leadership catapulted Cypress Ridge to achieve the highest occupancy rates within Plum, maintaining an impressive 99.2% over my 3.5-year tenure. This remarkable performance positioned the facility as the most profitable SNF across the company, boasting the highest net operating income (NOI) per bed. My contributions were recognized with the prestigious “One of a Kind” Leadership Award. Post-acquisition by PACS, my role was reaffirmed due to my track record of excellence. I sustained unparalleled occupancy rates, the highest within the parent company—the largest SNF operator in California. Over the final 14 months, I maintained near-perfect occupancy at around 100% each month, with a 70% skilled mix, culminating in a 5-Star overall rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).

As an Administrator in Training (AIT) hired by PLUM, I successfully navigated the licensing process and led multiple facilities to achieve 100% occupancy rates. My leadership at Rock Creek Care Center, Pine Creek Care Center, Lincoln Meadows Care Center, White Blossom Care Center, and Vasona Creek Healthcare Center not only maximized occupancy but also significantly improved operational efficiency and staffing models. During my tenure, these facilities experienced some of their most profitable months, a testament to the effectiveness of the enhancements I implemented.
