Dr. Ryan M. Collar is an expert in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery and an experienced healthcare executive and entrepreneur with a background that includes the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, University of Michigan Medicine and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.As a practicing surgeon, Collar’s multidisciplinary academic program specializes in complex facial reconstruction, aesthetic facial surgery, facial reanimation,and facial trauma serving thousands of patients each year in Greater Cincinnati and throughout the Midwestern and Southern US. Collar’s commitment to advancing his field through research has led to over fifty publications including in the New England Journal of Medicine, Cancer, and Journal of American College of Surgeons, clinical trial site leadership, and a relationship with a NIH funded basic science lab exploring biomaterials for peripheral nerve regeneration.Collar further has substantial startup experience as a founder and board director in healthtech and healthcare services. He maintains a commitment to service through medical mission trips throughout Central America to treat children with congenital deformity, and he is a former member of the Jesuit Volunteer Corps having lived, coached and taught on the Cheyenne and Crow reservations before beginning his healthcare career.
