It is amazing how far you can go in life with a can-do positive attitude.I was born and raised in North Carolina.I have a wife named Ashley and an almost 3-year-old name Jack. I've been passionate about the digital world of design and thrived on being creative since a little kid. I am also a musician/producer and have a fully-functioning recording studio at my home. I enjoy watching sports, hanging out with friends, being close to my family, and mountain biking.My professional world:I have been involved in the field of product design collectively since 2004. I have worked remotely since 2015 and never looked back. One of the challenges of being remote is making sure the line of communication is always available during work hours. Whether there is a video conference, phone call, text, or collaboration in Slack, the line of communication is always open. I live for the "wow" moments I get from co-workers, users and clients. They may be short and fleeting, but they mean a lot. That "wow" reaction shows that really hard work and being creative pays off. In the same token, I want to share that sentiment. Just as important as I receive atta-boys, I return the compliments when credit is due. Bouncing great ideas off with co-workers and providing constructive criticism is, in my opinion, the lifeblood of great design. I have been fully involved in almost every stage of product design over the years. This allows me to be well-versed in communicating effectively throughout every stage of a project.I want to solve problems and do it beautifully. Having empathy for people is a huge priority for me. I want to understand their emotions and fulfill their needs. When designing, I strive to have a pixel-perfect eye. Design interfaces need to function practically, but also look great. That is always my end goal aside from there never really is a "finished product" in the world of UI's.
