My role at Bosch is to be the engineering customer interface with OEMs. My customer is General Motors. I discuss engineering change requests associated to the steering gear assembly for ICE vehicles. The steering gear assembly involves I-shaft, gear trains, worm and pinion gears, bearings, electrical control unit, rack bar, tie rods, motor, and bushings(mounting provisions).High level scope of my position is to manage customer relationships, pass engineering change criteria to and from my internal team at Bosch to GM and vis versa, propose design changes to GM, complete engineering change request paperwork for engineering/assembly plant review, finalize the PPAP documents, and release production intent designs from Bosch manufacturing to customer vehicle assembly plants. Application / Warranty Engineer

If surrogate data could be used from previous development testing, I worked alongside Purchasing and Validation to see what testing could be surrogated and to recoup any cost from the supplier, if we had already paid for said testing. • Optimize for low cost, low mass, and still meet a robust, manufacturable, and quality component. • Participated in plant Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA)
Design Release Engineer
• Responsible for design, integrated packaging, and production release of engine cooling heat x-changers (specifically the condenser, radiator, low temperature radiator, Auxiliary Transmission Oil Cooler, and internal oil coolers), fan modules, and brackets.
