I am a Postdoctoral Research at the University of Warwick, working on improving software and data science techniques in Physics.This includes deep learning in the context of the Pandora reconstruction framework, and porting C++ code to utilise acceleration libraries such as ALPAKA.Prior to this, I studied at at Lancaster University for my PhD in Physics with Data Science funding, and Leeds University for a MEng in Computer Science.I'm a member of the Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment (DUNE) and MicroBooNE and work on Pandora, which is a multi-algorithm approach to pattern recognition. As part of my PhD, I worked on both the 3D hit reconstruction and the electromagnetic shower growing, with the shower growing work utilising graph neural networks.I also work on tracking as part of ACTS / traccc, whilst being a technical member of the ATLAS experiment. In traccc, I'm looking at porting the existing CUDA code they have to Alpaka, a parallel abstraction library, to support multiple backends at once, rather than just CUDA.
