Vision Team

- Designed printed circuit boards used in the Formula SAE REV6 that took 4th place overall and 2nd place in Design in the Siemens Digital Twins Award at Virtual Formula SAE Electric- Built cone detection software in Tensorflow using deep-learning based computer vision

- Improved the battery efficiency of the FSAE car by designing a new battery management system that implements active cell balancing through a transformer energy transference system- Assisted other interns by providing PCB layout and schematic design reviews- Revamped the team’s documentation and knowledge transfer by editing and authoring several Confluence pages on the new active balancing system, transformers, and buck/boost converters

- Diagnosed and solved various issues with the university internet system

Vision Team

- Worked alongside Dr. Insup Lee, Director of the Penn Research in Embedded Computing and Integrated Systems (PRECISE) Center, and Co-Director of Penn Health-Tech- Investigated utilization of SONAR technology in autonomous submarines to follow pathways designated by underwater pipes- Redesigned detection network by running a classification network over smaller image portions to ensure the system is verifiably safe - Improved robustness of classification neural network by gathering noisy sonar dataset from Gazebo simulator

- Worked with Dr. Oleg Sokolsky, professor in the PRECISE Center- Modeled end-to-end latency of DRSC (dedicated short-range communication) for optimization in a mixed integer linear optimization framework
