I'm Ryan! I am a Process + Project Engineer at Saint-Gobain who is intensely invested in improving my expertise in process improvement, project scoping and completion, and leadership development. I have, and always will be, passionate about sharing my experiences and knowledge with the next generation of engineers, scientists, and dreamers.I receive most of my power through my projects. I have many experiences in product development through former coursework at Boston University, multiple research experiences, and even experience in corporate finance. With the guidance of these different experiences, I felt empowered and ready to begin my journey as a young engineer aiming to join the industry.I was previously the Chapter President of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) at Boston University for the 2019-2020 school year. As a summer intern at the Interfacial Fluid Dynamics Lab, I founded and led an initiative in investigating part fatigue in metal 3D printing by examining the fluid mechanics of the melting pool involved in the process. Considering the equipment available, I conducted experiments strictly using similar systems made of transparent materials. Through use of high-speed cameras, MATLAB, and Python, I was able to begin to develop greater understanding of the critical roles of speed, power, and frequency in metal additive manufacturing.

As a summer intern at the Additive Assembly Lab, I assisted in developing a functional device ink intended for use with inkjet printers. I conducted liquid interface surface experiments in the lab, which involved testing various solvents and ligands on gold chip substrates and analyzing their contact angles through use of MATLAB.
