As a process + project engineer at Saint-Gobain, I specialize in leading process improvement initiatives and managing capital expenditure projects.Additionally, I serve as our subject matter expert in mechanical plating at our Bristol, RI site to drive process development and capability assessment activities, reviewing part design documentation to ensure alignment with process capability, completing tests and trials to validate new process improvement ideas, and ensuring we continue to innovate in our operation.

As a summer intern at the Interfacial Fluid Dynamics Lab, I founded and led an initiative in investigating part fatigue in metal 3D printing by examining the fluid mechanics of the melting pool involved in the process. Considering the equipment available, I conducted experiments strictly using similar systems made of transparent materials. Through use of high-speed cameras, MATLAB, and Python, I was able to begin to develop greater understanding of the critical roles of speed, power, and frequency in metal additive manufacturing.

As a summer intern at the Additive Assembly Lab, I assisted in developing a functional device ink intended for use with inkjet printers. I conducted liquid interface surface experiments in the lab, which involved testing various solvents and ligands on gold chip substrates and analyzing their contact angles through use of MATLAB.
