He signed with Madonna’s Maverick Records in 1999 and recorded with producer Dave Jerden (Alice in Chains). He also landed deals with Volcano Records, and New York Indie Label-Wrong Records with distribution through Sony’s Red Ink (Distribution). Darnell has also worked with producers such as Ron St. Germain (311, Tool, Bad Brains, U2, Mos Def, Jimi Hendrix), GGGarth Richardson (Rage Against the Machine, Red Hot Chili Peppers), Chris Shaw (Sum 41, Sheryl Crow, Weezer, Cypress Hill) and co-label owner Daniel Wise (John Mayer, Scissor Sisters, Secret Machines).
