I am a first year student at Indiana University’s Kelly School of Business, majoring in Finance. I have a passion for collaborating with others, competitiveness and helping society. I demonstrated these skills in high school playing on various successful baseball and basketball teams while also working jobs that bettered my community. Working and playing sports simultaneously vastly improved my time management skills and prepared me to take on future tasks like working in a warehouse the summer after graduating high school. Working at Chewy taught me many valuable traits such as mental endurance and increased my overall work ethic going into college. Now at Indiana University, I am currently expanding my professional and personal skillset as I’m actively seeking all opportunities for self-improvement. I spend every day trying to enjoy all aspects of college, without taking the experience for granted. I love meeting and interacting with new people as a goal of mine is to build as many relationships as possible. Which is why being on Indiana University’s campus is great, because I am always making connections with alumni and professors. A couple of my classes require an extensive amount of groupwork. In completion of these projects, I improve my collaboration skills while communicating and planning solutions for our work. In the future, I plan to join various business organizations on campus, and to get more involved with volunteering opportunities in the community. My goal in doing this is to improve my leadership and collaboration skills and to improve society by helping others. Once I gain more of an understanding of business concepts, I plan to pursue an internship to gain experience and growth towards my ultimate goal of becoming a Financial Advisor.
