As the first Chief Digital Officer for RPS, Ryan has the responsibility of digitalizing the insurance industry from a wholesale brokerage standpoint. Building off of the success of the rpssmallbusiness.com platform (the inaugural Business Insurance Insurtech Initiative of the Year award winner in 2018), Ryan will be working to revolutionize the wholesale business by focusing on all lines of coverage and products to bring a better process to transact insurance to our retail customers. Ryan will be making a digital initiative integral to the foundation and success of RPS by building agile systems that focus on our customers relentlessly to reshape how we interact with our 23,000 retail relationships. Additionally, his role will include seamlessly adding and utilizing all sources of data to create a world-class experience for customers and underwriters alike.

Ryan has the additional role of President and National Practice Leader for the Executive Lines Division within Risk Placement Services. After successful stints at AIG and Executive Risk, Ryan founded the Executive Lines division within RPS in 1999 and during his tenure became one of the foremost experts in the Executive Liability realm. A frequent speaker and guest lecturer, Ryan is a specialist in public and private company directors and officers liability, employment practice liability, cyber liability and errors and omissions liability. He leads a national team with locations in Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas, Cambridge, Los Angeles, and San Francisco that places over $800M of premium annually. Ryan's primary niche focus was on technology, retail, hospitality, healthcare, and financial institutions. In 2011, he was the creator of Innovas, a state of the art online multi-carrier binding platform for the small business executive liability insurance arena and in 2016 he led his team to create rpssmallbusiness.com, an online platform that has revolutionized the cyber insurance industry and has since created dozens of additional products.

Ryan was the Regional Manager for the Executive Liability niche carrier, Executive Risk, prior to the acquisition by Chubb in July of 1999. He oversaw the Midwest region and was responsible for significant growth in all aspects of Executive Risk's geographic expansion.
