While science and digital technology have begun to advance at exponential rates over the past few years alone, the world of printed text and writing has begun to slowly wane. But, ladies and gentleman, we can rebuild it. We have the technology, and with it we have the capability to build the world's first bionic writers. Ryan McHugh is that six million dollar employee. Better than merely a writer—stronger, faster, more efficient. First used in the early 1960s, the term 'cyborg' was coined to refer to beings combining both organic and mechanical aspects to bridge the gap between mind and matter. Now after earning my degree from the University of Colorado in 2015 with a combination of an English major and Technology, Arts, and Media minor, I too am able to offer a hybridized cyborg skill set that ranges from communication and writing all the way to programming and web design. Not only able to articulate complex concepts in easy to understand terms for customers, my background in computer sciences and technology means I can also just as easily roll up my sleeves and get under the hood of digital production, making me a spark plug for the hundreds of websites and companies that crop up online each day with hopes of being number one on Google search results.
