CurrentProject portfolio includes design of steel SMF, SCBF, and BRBF structures including in multi-tier configurations. Concrete lab/life science structures with significant cantilevers. Wood and CMU design building structures. ASCE 41 seismic evaluations and retrofit solutions. Tenant improvement projects.Project Manager actively engaged with owner and client while managing internal design team and project budget for high end lab/life science developments including:• Lab/Life Science Campus (Del Mar) - Two four story SMRF buildings, composite steel floor plate, with common podium and concrete shear wall basement. Adjoining steel pedestrian bridges laterally tied to one building, seismically separate from the other.• Lab/Life Science Campus (Sorrento Valley) - Six story SMRF building, composite steel floor plate, with common podium and CMU shear wall basement. Project Engineer for complex new-construction design projects including:• Southwestern Community College Performing Arts Center (DSA reviewed project of a steel BRBF building with seven different roof levels, significant diaphragm transfer trusses, cantilever balcony seating, suspended catwalks, and acoustical/performance support structures)• San Diego Symphony Orchestra Shell (elevated stage slab, foundations & anchorage design for manufactured truss ribs)• Callan Rd (Two multi-story concrete lab/life-science buildings over common basement. Expansive green roof, large cantilevers, multiple pedestrian bridges)• UTC Parking Garage (PT concrete design)• Headquarters Point Rd (Two four story mild-reinforced concrete lab/life-science buildings with up to 25’ PT cantilevers)• Wood and steel design (San Diego Zoo pedestrian bridge, Mission Hills Library)Actively led our San Diego office social committee in which our office was awarded:• 1st place small company in the San Diego Union Tribune “Top Work Places” award • 4th place of 100+ companies in the San Diego Business Journal “Best Places to Work” award
