Worked efficiently on a new high school for Perris, CA involving a variety of materials including CMU, Concrete, Steel. Built structural models, created design loads and combinations, designed all members for seismic and wind (when applicable). Designed components and cladding for unique instances on/within all buildings. Lastly, I ran a timber roof failure analysis on an existing high school.

I maintained the quality of the Cal Poly ASCE Student Chapter of roughly 275 members and 17 officers. My roles as President were to: Oversee and manage all chapter events and activities, officers (17), and members (275+). Act as the liaison between the student chapter, local YMF, and local Professional ASCE Branch. Lastly, I was fortunate to have gotten to attend ASCE’s Global Conference in Panama City, Panama in which I was able to communicate with professional engineer’s from around the world.

I worked in the field office of a $22 million Caltrans Bridge Rehab / Interchange Project at I-15/Hwy 76. I managed concrete pours, laid out approach slabs and joint seal assemblies, ran quantity take offs, and led weekly safety meetings. Additionally, I assisted the Project Manager with budget monitoring and reviewed project invoices. I learned how to correspond with the owner through meetings, letters, submittals, and RFI’s, and effective communication with laborers, subcontractors, suppliers, and colleagues.

I was fortunate to experience both the office and field aspects of Water/Wastewater Engineering. I plan checked large developments and pipeline layouts against District specifications, utilized AutoCAD to generate Reservoir Drawings and a Hydraulic Schematic for field use. Furthermore, I collected and tested water samples, tested CADwelds, and ran flow monitoring calculations.

I reorganized the inventory system to prevent material shortages while minimizing on-hand inventory, assisted in the programming of Software Defined IDUs, and reviewed parts lists and drawings for accuracy.
