Gymnastics has been a life long passion, competing for Great Britain at international events for both Sports Acrobatics and Tumbling Disciplines. Within Sports Acrobatics I competed in a mens 4 team, achieving titles of 2015 British Champions and silver world medallist at the 2016 World Championships in Putian China (highlight of my competitive career). My gymnastics experiences linked me into fitness at an early age. What sets me apart from other fitness practitioners is my approach to gymnastics styled conditioning integrated into modern day strength and conditioning regiments. The knowledge I have in fitness and gymnastics has been adapted based off numerous mentors within my competitive career, and I constantly seek new methods to develop my understanding. My academic knowledge is underpinned by Sports Science which I studied at Middlesbrough college, preparing me for a bachelors degree in Sports Coaching at Northumbria University. The work I do over summer at Camp Starlight, USA has shaped me as a coach and leader. I have been department head for both fitness and gymnastics, responsible for the planning and delivering of the 7 week summer program to over 500 campers, as well as communicating with other staff in my team and the camp directors in daily meetings for effective and appropriate sessions.
