Responsible for the facilitation and coordination of two undergraduate courses (BIOL260: Fundamentals of Physiology, BIOL430: Genome Evolution) for multiple semesters. Working alongside professors to facilitate an effective learning environment, managing communication with 500+ students, organizing a team of junior teaching assistants, and implementing a new online teaching strategy amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

Researcher in Dr. Vivien Measday’s lab at UBC’s Wine Research Centre. Responsible for genotyping yeast strains extracted from fermentations sampled from the Okanagan wine region. Role included molecular lab work consisting of aspect technique, inoculation, microscopy, PCR, lab supply management, detailed note-keeping, and generation of reports for senior lab members.

Paddle Canada certified kayak and paddleboard tour guide and instructor. Managed day-to-day operations at both the Granville Island and Kitsilano beach locations.

Designed and implemented a new cloud-based digital reservation system that replaced the pre-existing paper-based system. Coordinated with managers, web developers, accountants, and daily staff.

Paddle Canada certified canoe and kayak lead guide. Duties included leading river tours of large groups, ensuring safety of all guests and junior guides, environmental education during the tour, and training junior guides in emergency water rescue protocols.

Responsible for the efficient processing of 500+ guest reservations per day during the busy summer season. Responsibilities included making new reservations, checking guests in, and ensuring waivers were properly completed.
