With 27+ years of experience as an officer in the US Army, I am a Senior Fellow at The Brookings Institution, where I conduct research and analysis on national security issues, such as global resource integration, intelligence analysis, and combat operations. I have a strong academic background, with three master's degrees in national security policy studies, defense studies, and organizational psychology and leadership from prestigious institutions.As a Senior Fellow, I leverage my expertise, experience, and network to contribute to the advancement of national security policy and practice, both domestically and internationally. I also share my insights and perspectives through publications, media appearances, and public events. Previously, I served as the Division Chief of Staff at 3rd Infantry DIV, where I was responsible for the oversight, planning and execution of the division's operations, training, and readiness. I have developed and demonstrated skills in organizational leadership, intelligence analysis, and allied, partner, and interagency coordination throughout my military career.
