Working in project teams, developed user experiences for a wide range of websites and interactive experiences. Managed and coordinated development team during front-end and back-end website implementation. Collaborated in development of interactive project process including leading the development of Corey’s technical development and information architecture processes and standards for site organization, navigation, labeling, and usability.

Developed and taught an ongoing course, “Reading Graphic Novels,” focused on deep study of the form and language of literary graphic novels from a variety of traditions and cultures. Course has continued for over five years as a monthly study group. Lectured on topics in comics, sequential art and cinema at the Cambridge Center, Center for Cartoon Studies, MIT, Boston University and other institutions.

Co-developed and co-taught new undergraduate course, “Film Form”, introducing the art and design of cinema. The course gave design students basic analytical skills that could be applied to the design of static and dynamic media. Course work included close analysis of film, writing, sketching and storyboarding as well as an outline of film history. Responsible for curriculum development, weekly lectures, discussions, and grading. Advised student projects.

Conceived, designed and prototyped research projects including a layered multi-media city map, a description-based video clip selection mechanism, video annotation tools, and interactive story structures.
