Advances in digital printing mean that every dot printed on a substrate can be different than the one the proceeds it.My expertise in technology, marketing and Esko tools allow me to help my customers capitalize on this data to create solutions that allow them to react to market demands. Whether it's making packaging CAD more intelligent, managing an ever increasing quantity of SKUs or capitalizing on the plethora of data collected by external systems to automatically "hyper-customize" packaging to better reach consumers, I'm always available for a conversation. I don't sell products, I craft outcomes that I can help my customers achieve in a high value, cost effective manner.

Worked within Print Technology Platforms (PTP) R&D lab in a product marketing capacity. I researched market trends and completed competitive analysis tasks. In addition, I became proficient on the technology available in both present and future states. This fed into the marketing requirements process to scope new products. This included modeling of both capital equipment and consumables revenue.Most of my work was in the research of the packaging market potential, and I created market research reports and financial models for packaging production concepts, including several on the market today.I maintained proficiency in industry specific software applications such as the Esko's software suites. Preformed demonstrations of hardware, software, and color management tools and concepts for senior management.In addition, I participated in VOC task force to ensure environmental stability of emerging product lines. Active membership in the competitive intelligence committee required analyzing HP’s competition in analog printing and workflow. Made quarterly presentations of my findings to hundreds of strategists, decision makers, and technologists.

I started working at the family business when I was very young. Over the course of time, I spent time working in many production functions - from helping in the bindery to running presses. I worked in prepress "stripping" film and "burning" plates before observing the transition to automated prepress and computer-to-plate processes. I created a distribution strategy and sold advertising for a subsidiary, Central Coast Visitor Guide. Most recently I was involved in an investment in a new Management Information System (EFI Pace) which would integrate with the existing pre-press system (Kodak Prinergy.) Additionally, I built caseyprinting.com and have designed numerous advertisements for the company.

Responsible for day to day operations at the only entirely student managed printing company within a 4-year university. Direct reports included 12 managers, 20 employees and 140 student interns over the course of the year. Worked with industry partners to secure, implement and deploy the latest in production technology including ERP software from EFI, production art software from Adobe, Esko, Agfa and Kodak as well as production machinery from Creo/Kodak, HP, Goss, Heidelberg, and Muller-Martini.Collaborated with management team and the Cal Poly corporation to bring to market a new retail print concept called UGS Print & Copy. This alleviated shrinking revenues from commercial print production, and brought an excitement for print to the Cal Poly student population. This involved creation of new SOPs, procurement of new equipment, standardization of production processes (common raw materials) and reduction of turnaround times by 33%. This has grown to be the largest revenue source for the enterprise.

I was hired as a part time seasonal employee in 2006 and helped open store 3428 in San Luis Obispo, CA. I was quickly converted to a permanent full time employee focusing on home entertainment system sales.I learned how to sell solutioms rather than products alone by bundling installation, integration, and service contracts. I learned about how to use profit margin indexes to customize solutions to fit the individual customer's needs while maintaining profitability for the company. I set company sales volume records for installations, service contracts, and combined sales.Eventually, I was promoted to a role where I was responsible for sales and execution of all services that the store offered under its Firedog brand. This included car audio, PC services, and home entertainment (~$2 million annually.) My department was top in the company November 2008 - February 2009.
