As the former founder of Immunologix, which was acquired by Intrexon Corporation (now known as Precigen, NASDAQ: PGEN) in October 2011, my goal came to fruition by seeing the Immunologix mAbLogix platform grow within Intrexon. After leaving Intrexon in April 2013, I continued using my experience by working as a consultant for other companies (includes small biotech, public and private) in the field. In February 2014, I accepted a position as Chief Executive Officer and President of Perle Bioscience. Perle has novel therapeutics for treating type 1 diabetes which will eliminate the need for insulin injections. At the end of 2015, after completing my goals for the company, I transitioned out of the Perle to get back to consulting for various companies and serving on a few Boards. In May 2017, I co-founded Blinktbi, Inc. Blink has a FDA Cleared novel device (called EyeStat) yielding objective data for the blink reflex that gives objective feedback to the user in 20 seconds. Blinktbi is currently running a number of trials with our EyeStat device to validate its use in aiding in the diagnosis of traumatic brain injury, early diagnosis of neurological diseases (Alzheimers, Parkinson's, MS, etc) and finally as an objective way to measure sobriety (focusing on Marijuana and Opiates) all using the blink reflex.
