MUFG acquisition of Maitland Hedge

Managing the Hedge Fund offices in Halifax, Richmond and the Cayman Islands.

Responsibilities:- Management of a team of 3 people each located respectively in Halifax, London and Cape Town.- Leadership of the team in the development and enhancement of the profitability analysis models for existing clients and services across all client segments namely; Institutional, Private and Corporate Clients.- Implementing and managing the costing frameworks for all new clients and services. - Establishing and managing a deal team forum to evaluate non-standard new and existing clients and services regarding legal, regulatory, commercial, capacity and risk considerations.- Establishing and managing a business case framework for all strategic initiatives requiring capital expenditure.- Establishing, managing and performing Benefit Evaluations for implemented business cases and initiatives.- Enhancing, sustaining and managing the group Service Catalogue which supports client invoicing.

- Manage my team of project managers regarding the migration and/or launch of a full spectrum of new and existing Client portfolios, both Local and International. These include Unit Trusts (Collective Investment Schemes), Segregated Portfolios, Alternative Fund of Funds, Alternative Single Strategy Funds and Transfer Agency, as well as restructures from a system and model perspective within the product sets. - Engage with Clients and internal managers from each Business Unit, risk rated resource planning and working to demanding delivery timelines across various types of projects simultaneously.- Client relationship management and support of our Client management function, ensuring proactive communication around projects.- Support Business Development through the sales phase with Local and International prospective Clients from a product specialist perspective.- Engage with senior managers from our European offices to implement client projects.- Empower and train my team of 5, create a knowledge sharing environment and measure performance against KPIs.- Manage the deliverables across all projects – typically between 15 to 25 concurrently – plan and communicate the new business inflow, and contribute to maximizing revenue generation through efficient delivery.- Mitigate project and operational risk, problem solve around issues and implement corrective actions as applicable.- Liaise with the Business Analyst team around new client requests.- Interact with the Product Solutions team for new services and costings.- Develop and maintain reporting based on internal business unit needs at a Senior and middle management level, utilizing Clarizen (project management software), Sharepoint, Excel, and Powerpoint.- Implement new service initiatives in conjunction with the Product Solutions team.
