About Ryan Fritz
As a Sr Manufacturing Engineer at Spark Therapeutics, I support the design and development of the GMP clinical/commercial manufacturing areas for gene therapy products at the Gene Therapy Innovation Center (GTIC): Spark's new, state-of-the-art, 500,000-square-foot AAV facility in Philadelphia. I collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure operational aspects, such as equipment selection, layout, flow, automation, and viral segregation, are aligned with the project goals and timelines.I have 5+ years of pharmaceutical GMP manufacturing experience, working with mAbs, lentivirus, and AAV. I previously worked at GSK, where I executed the production of clinical supplies for early phase trials, using various purification techniques, such as TFF and chromatography. I hold a BS in Chemical Engineering and two minors in Bioengineering and Psychology from Villanova University. I am passionate about applying my engineering and bioengineering skills to advance gene therapy innovation and improve patient outcomes.
