Gene Therapy Innovation Center (GTIC):- Supporting the design development of the GMP clinical/commercial manufacturing areas at Spark/Roche's new, state-of-the-art, 500,000-square-foot AAV manufacturing facility currently under construction in Philadelphia's University City neighborhood- Primarily focused on operational aspects (i.e. ballroom-style room design, equipment selection/layout, operational flow, single-use philosophy, operational readiness, viral segregation, automation integration)- Collaborates internally with cross-functional groups (Engineering, Tech Transfer, Development, Automation, Validation, Quality, Procurement, Facilities, Safety) and contracted A/E firm to author/review/approve technical documents (P&ID, PFD, RDS, URS) and evaluate facility fit- Co-lead of risk assessments and evaluations for Viral Segregation and Multi-Product use.- Provide feedback to key stakeholders (Steering Committee, Roche counterparts, Spark process/building owners)- Co-led biological waste disposal optimization effort ($1M capital savings)

R&D Pilot Plant: Filtration Team- pH Viral Inactivation Lead- Executes planning coordination, and production of drug supplies for use in early phase clinical trials; primarily mid- to large-scale purification of bulk drug substance (mAb & lentiviral vectors) via Depth/Ultra/Diafiltration activities.

R&D Pilot Plant: Chromatography Team- Anion Exchange Liquid Chromatography Lead- Executes production of clinical supplies based on established procedures and protocols; primarily, hands-on cGMP mid to large scale purification of bulk drug substance (mAb & lentiviral vectors) via GE ÄKTA Ready Skid for use in early phase clinical trials.

R&D Pilot Plant:- Executed support activities for the manufacture of clinical supply of investigational bio-pharmaceutical molecules.- Performed hands-on assembly, cleaning, preparation, and processing of large scale purification steps under cGMP regulatory conditions. Processing steps included: Column packing, Chromatography, UltraFiltration/DiaFiltration, Depth Filtration, & Bulk Drug Fill- Prepared buffers, including weigh and dispense, formulation, and filtration activities

Senior Capstone Project:- Utilized Aspen simulation software to design a processing plant for industrial methyl methacrylate (MMA) production of 35,000 MT/year via an alternative route of t-Butanol- Analyzed process conditions and equipment varieties to reduce base and operating costs and increase efficiency.

Philadelphia Reservoir Project:- Aided construction of the largest concrete water tank system on the East Coast in order to divert 90 MG Center City water reservoir- Assisted Project Engineer with calculations and cost estimates to monitor budget, sub-contractors, and equipment rentals- Performed quality control checks on day-to-day construction to ensure progress and adherence to specifications and drawings- Ensured compliance to OEO, OSHA, and other standards to ensure jobsite safety

- Assisted students in experimental design process to develop a device that mimics a kidney’s filtration process- Aided professor with classroom instruction, record keeping, and other miscellaneous projects- Managed the retention, transport, and set-up of lab materials for students

- Worked closely with ED physicians and nursing staff on a wide range of research studies sponsored by Bayer, Siemens, and Roche. Studies encompassed multi-center clinical trials, assessments of diagnostic tests and new translational technology. - Screened potential participants, interviewed families, and obtained informed consent while adhering to appropriate HIPAA and regulatory guidelines.
