I work as a DBA in SQL server. I built and maintained databases for 4000+ customers across 30 servers. My main responsibilities were to maintain and improve all reports and reporting systems ranging from Oracle, SSRS, Power BI and Excel. I used T-SQL in SQL Server 2016/2017 to develop scripts that were presented through these reporting tools. The development of scripts sometimes involved large queries or altering/creating views, stored procedures, triggers and functions.My role also covered setting up data gateways, weekly forecast reporting, financial accounts/commissions and development of new projects.I learnt a lot about SQL Server and started to venture into database infrastructure, database user access, privileges, query optimisation, data mining and data flow. I worked part time as a web developer in a team of five during the 2nd year of my foundation degree. I developed HTML & CSS pages as well as educational material for their learning portal that provided extra learning resources for students to access outside of classes.
