Ryan Gallagher joined Murray Devine Valuation Advisors in early 2018. His responsibilities include financial analysis and advisory services relating to financial opinions, portfolio valuations, and the valuation of business enterprises and their underlying securities across all industries. Ryan has experience in financial analysis, research, and due diligence relating to debt and equity valuations for investments owned by top-tier private debt and equity funds, business development companies, funds of funds and hedge funds. Service offerings / experience includes Solvency Opinions, Fairness Opinions, Purchase Price Allocations, other Intangible Asset Valuations, Goodwill Impairment, and Portfolio Valuation. Prior to joining Murray Devine Valuation Advisors, Ryan was a Manager in Deloitte & Touche LLP’s Valuation & Modeling practice. In this management consulting role, he managed and performed valuations and financial analysis on a large number of security types including fixed income, structured products, and derivatives instruments. He also advised many of the top-tier global and US banks on model risk management and stress testing issues in response to the increased regulatory scrutiny stemming from the 2007-2008 Financial Crisis. His industry exposure is broad, but he has had the largest concentration within the Financial Services Industry. He also has prior work experience in financial statement audit and financial reporting capacities within the banking and private equity / venture capital industries, respectively. Ryan received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Accounting Major) from the University of Pittsburgh. He is both a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
