Regional Compliance Officer
Current-Support and assist the Medical Director with the overall coordination and management of all aspects of the Compliance Program.-Perform compliance and privacy audits. Conduct surveys, investigations, risk assessments and site walk-throughs. Identify deficiencies and areas of vulnerability and risk. Recommends corrective measures for identified deficiencies or issues. Implements approved corrective action plan and monitors effectiveness.-Assist the Medical Director with developing risk analyses and auditing work plans. Reviews auditing and monitoring reports. Ensures appropriate reporting of any violations or potential violations to appropriate agencies as required. -Develops training and education material for clinical and non-clinical staff. Conducts monthly new employee orientation. Coordinate annual compliance training and refresher training courses.-Provide support for Health Plan audits and recommends a corrective action plan if deficiencies are discovered. Review reporting data from internal and external agencies to identify deficiencies or new regulatory requirements and recommend changes as needed. -Collate and maintain compliance, privacy, safety reports and data to effectively communicate any compliance issues in a non-interpretive and understandable manner. -Serve as Chair of the Safety & Compliance Committee in conjunction with the VP of Quality & Compliance for Desert Oasis Healthcare and Arizona Priority Care. Hold quarterly Safety & Compliance meetings and review committee membership annually. Attend and participate in Heritage Provider Network, Inc. (Corporate) Compliance meetings. -Collaborate with the Safety & Compliance Committee members and Administration to develop and maintain all policies and procedures that pertain to safety and compliance ensuring that the policies are compliant with applicable government regulations. -Manage, in conjunction with the VP of Operations, the workflow of the electronic incident reporting system.
