Kerman has now diversified into the maintenance side of the resources sector and has established a maintenance division under Kerman Services. Kerman selected a specialised team for the maintenance of the more technical aspects of maintaining Citic Pacific’s processing lines.

Kerman Contracting was awarded a $150 Million contract to complete civil works and the mechanical, electrical and instrument installation for the AG Mills. As well as the structural, mechanical and piping installation for the underground stockpile tunnel, AG Mills and pebble rushers at the Sino Iron Project for Citic Pacific Mining.Carried out the implementation and review of the Kerman Health Safety Environment Management Plan• Managing safety aspects on multiple work fronts with a crew of 450+ personnel• Implemented strategies to increase awareness of safety issues in the workplace and to promote a positivesafety culture• Streamlined procedures to ensure efficient methodologies that meet standards• Prepare minute’s information and deliver toolbox and pre-start meetings• Designated Environment Advisor and sole point of contact for Environmental Management. Tasks included conducting audits, client inspections, monthly NGER report and review of procedures• Cyclone Management Co-ordinator – responsible for all planning and procedures for efficient implementation and evacuation of 400-500 personnel• Thorough incident and investigation reporting identifying contributing factors and root cause analysis.Consulting stakeholders and industry experts to provide practical solutions and corrective actions• One-on-one mentor and coach for safety with staff resulting in the promotion and adherence of a strong safety culture.

OTOC Australia plans, creates, manages and maintains non-process resource infrastructure for remote and isolated worksites. OTOC was contracted by the Australian Government to install Offshore Processing Centres. Levels of responsibility increased rapidly because of ‘can do’ attitude and work ethic. Key Achievements include:• Appointed to a small team of safety advisors to implement the company’s Health, Safety and Environmental Management Plan on Nauru• Constantly reviewing and updating safety procedures• Encouraging workers to commit to the Safety Management Plan• Under trying circumstances, limited resources and language barriers achieved a 25% increase in safety compliance following an external audit by SAI Global• Implementing strategies to encourage continued improvement in workplace safety and achieve an injury and incident free workplace.
