I am responsible for the growth and continual development of the Maurice R. Greenberg School of Risk Science in the J. Mack Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University. I engage with prospective students to build the pipeline of future Risk Management & Insurance and Actuarial Science students. I work to connect our diverse student body with risk & insurance industry partners through curricular and co-curricular opportunities, as well as scholarships, internships and full-time employment. And, I prospect, develop, manage, and grow revenue-generating relationships between the M.R. Greenberg School of Risk Science and risk & insurance industry partners.Moreover, I serve as the Faculty Advisor for our Zeta Chapter of Gamma Iota Sigma, the international professional fraternity organized to promote, encourage and sustain student interest in insurance, risk management and actuarial science as professions.

I teach a variety of courses related to risk management, insurance, and legal studies, as well as introductory business courses.

In the Risk Management & Insurance Department of the J. Mack Robinson College of Business, I teach a variety of law courses and courses related to risk management & insurance and entrepreneurship. I serve as the faculty advisor for GSU's chapter of Gamma Iota Sigma, the Risk Management & Insurance student organization, as well as an informal career and pre-law advisor to students across campus. I also leverage my HBDI® certification to the benefit of GSU students in both the WomenLead and Panthers in the Valley programs, counseling them on Whole Brain® Thinking and its application to both professional and personal pursuits.

GSU's Center for the Advancement of Students & Alumni (CASA) serves as an institutional hub to support the progression of students from all backgrounds into law school, medical school, Ph.D. programs, or related pathways. Ultimately, the Center aims to develop a diverse population of leaders in academic and professional positions in the U.S. and beyond. I was responsible for all things law school and law practice related within the Center, developing and delivering a university-level pre-law program. Through CASA’s Pre-Law Programming, we provided GSU students with access to full and candid information on law school and law practice, as well as the advisement they needed to navigate the path to and through both.

I was responsible for creating and maintaining a unique experience for high ability students within the Robinson College of Business that advanced the University Honors College spirit and its culture of academic excellence across campus and throughout RCB.

Bunnell Idea Group (BIG) is a business development training, coaching and consulting firm. We help firm leadership with analysis, strategy and governance for business development. We provide GrowBIG® training, coaching and consulting. We tailor the implementation and integration of the GrowBIG® business development system for every nuance of the company culture, competition, business environment and revenue goals.

Leveraging my experience in all facets of the legal industry, I offered legal career counseling services based on Herrmann Brain Dominance Instrument (HBDI®), through my proprietary LawWhys? Pre-Law Discovery Program. I also provided legal industry business development consulting services and conduct client services-focused business development training through Bunnell Idea Group.

I provided client services professionals with uniquely designed, industry-specific tools which allow them to take control of and elevate their online credibility in order to realize greater success in their business and client development. I offered lawyers and law firms a unique combination of legal know-how and legal business acumen developed by hands-on client-facing experiences and active engagement in client development efforts and firm administration while practicing law at large international law firms. Those experiences, along with the time spent as both a manager of attorney professional development and a legal recruiter, gave me keen insight into both the practice of law and the business of practicing law.In working with commercial insurance brokers, I leveraged deep connections in and knowledge of the world of commercial insurance, on all sides of the business, including underwriting, risk management, and brokerage services.As a professional having experience in a variety of both professional services and professional sales capacities, I brought an understanding of the importance of perception in all things one does. The perception of professional credibility, particularly as established in the online world, is of utmost importance and I helped professionals of all kinds present themselves online in a way that most successfully appeals to their clients and potential clients.

I managed all training initiatives for attorneys and staff for full-service AmLaw 100 law firm, wherein I designed, developed, and delivered training to attorneys at all levels (associate, counsel, partner) in connection with both hard (litigation skills, negotiation skills, legal writing) and soft skills (business development, client management, time management communications, presentations, diversity & inclusion). I also oversaw all Continuing Legal Education programs and attorney compliance and prepared and maintained firm annual Professional Development budget.

I taught Legal & Ethical Environment of Business and Lawyers & the Legal Process in the Robinson College of Business.

I sourced attorneys at associate and partner levels for permanent placement within law firms and corporate legal departments throughout the United States, including, but not limited to, Atlanta, Boston, New York, and Washington, DC. I also managed relationships with current law firm and corporate clients throughout the United States and engaged in business development activities to identify and attract new law firm and corporate clients.

In my diverse practice, I regularly appeared before Georgia superior, state, and magistrate courts in trial and motion settings in various complex commercial litigation matters. I conducted depositions and fact-witness interviews, handled mediations and settlement negotiations, drafted pleadings, motions, and written discovery in State and Federal Court. I also advised in-house counsel of a Fortune 5 company on development and implementation of corporate electronic discovery policies and procedures, as well as in the management of tort litigation matters and resolution of company-wide risk issues.

As a securities litigation associate, I prepared various critical motions in large securities class action, including Daubert Motion related to plaintiff’s damages expert and Rule 11 Motions for Sanction. I prepared the key position statement in broker/dealer FINRA arbitration on behalf of one of the world’s largest financial institutions. I also conducted an internal investigation of suspected fraudulent employee activities for one of the nation’s largest commercial real estate companies.

I developed, tested, implemented, and supported computer-based customer relationship management systems for major telecommunications providers. I also developed and delivered training on new customer relationship management software, provided on-site technical and functional support to call center representatives, and served as war room client liaison for multi-state call center system deployment.
