After leaving school at 18 I joined the Royal Marine Commandos, a job which gave me the opportunity to see the world, challenge myself daily and pursue a career I felt passionate about. After 6 years I left the Marines looking for a new type of challenge which I found in diving. Following commercial training and looking to build my diving experience I left the UK to train to become a Scuba Diving Instructor in the Canary Isles. When an opportunity presented itself I took the initiative and started my own Scuba Diving Centre, turning my passion for diving, conservation and leadership into a business which I could share with others. Less than 10 years following my first day in the military I have benefited from a huge number of experiences as a Marine, employee, diving novice to diving instructor and finally as a business owner. Founded Ocean Aware S.L 4 years ago with the focus for future divers education to revolve on the preservation of our oceans and beaches.Windhoist Technician:Windhoist;Nysäter (Sweden)Kennoxhead (Scotland)Lantinen (Finland)Haapa (Finland)Lumivara (Findland)Winda registered - RG077121GBLevel 3 Technician:Slinger/BanksmanMEWP Qualification Forklift QualificationNordex Maintenance Level 1 GWO BTT - ElectricalGWO BTT - MechanicalGWO BTT - HydraulicsCertificates Completed.GWO Fire AwarenessGWO First AidGWO Manual HandlingGWO Sea SurvivalGWO Working At HeightGWO Basic Technical Training (BTT) CombinedECITB CCNSG Safety PassportOffshore Medical & Chester stepCv and covering letter on requestFull UK driving license

Ocean Aware Diving Center is a student education and development school where we focus on both in-water and classroom skills. The purpose of Ocean Aware is to help preserve our oceans and beaches for the future, whilst also teaching from novice to experienced divers on developing skills.Being co-founder and manager of Ocean Aware Dive Center, my role in the business would continuously change from day to day life. Work did not finish when we went home and every day became much more rewarding. Building our center from the ground up was a huge step with a great deal of learning to be done. Running a Scuba diving Center is an extremely active task that requires logistics and organisation to be key, whilst also co-ordinating behind the scene planning. I gained many attributes that I had previously not attained. After 3 years of running our diving center, here are a few responsibilities and achievements we have achieved;- Paper work, Taxes and accountancy to an efficient and well maintained level.- Organising and planning monthly, weekly and daily work schedules that needed to be precise, however also flexible with unforeseen changes/challenges.- Planning and delivering lectures and providing education development to large groups of students. - Maintaining equipment and facilities to a high level in an extremely demanding activity.- Networking, advertising and collaborating with many different sport and hospitality companies, including large hotels. - Building a business from the ground up with an impeccable reputation and voted one of the best centers in the area. - Organising ocean/beach clean ups with volunteers and other diving centers, to maintain our waters/beaches.

After a 6 year intensive sculpting and mind focusing career in the Royal Marine Commandos, I have gained skills that gave me the structure and knowledge in my life allowing me to see the world with a never give up attitude. It gave me a confidence that has built the foundation to allow me to progress in civilian life. After leaving the Marines as a Platoon Weapons Specialist I believe a few of my key skills were;- Delivering lectures and presentation to high ranking members of the British Armed Forces.- Planned and delivered weekly training programmes, adapting to changing objectives and overcoming challenges. - Working to excellent standard under a range of extreme terrain. - Making difficult and important decisions under huge pressure and stress.- Excelling mentally and physically in extremely challenging conditions. Deployed to highly challenging terrains around the world, from the thick canopy of the jungle to the unforgiving desert. Each environment brings vastly different tactics and a new set of mind skills, which as a Commando Unit, the Royal Marine strives at. Operated around the Mediterranean Sea in the aid of rescuing and recovering migrants.
