I meet with my team of 4 direct reports at least once a week to discuss current workload, needs, and challenges, and even career goals and ambitions. I try to help them identify gaps in their knowledge and give them the tools they need to succeed in the project at hand, as well, as grow the skills they need to achieve their career goals. In this position, I still continue to maintain my analyst responsibilities, and continue to be a leader for my department by taking on further leadership roles, and serving as a liaison with other departments. Additionally, I continue to train newer analysts, help to standardize department procedures, and serve as a reference for questions and challenges, for my team, and the department as a whole.
