Currently leading the dynamic "Services" Team at ExtraSpace Storage. In August 2023, our team expanded through a merger, bringing the total to 9 developers responsible for 7 critical products, including four dedicated professionals working remotely from Costa Rica. This diverse and skilled team has been at the forefront of driving innovation and efficiency across the product engineering departmentOur work is vital to the customer experience at ExtraSpace Storage. We oversee all customer communications and online document signing processes, ensuring seamless interactions and convenience for our users. Additionally, we manage the MyAccount application, a customer-facing platform that allows users to manage their reservations, rentals, payments, and all account-related features necessary for a smooth operation. This tool is essential for empowering our customers and providing them with a sense of control and flexibility over their storage solutions.Beyond my role in engineering management and development, I spearheaded a pilot Hackathon for participants across multiple product-engineering teams within the department. This initiative was not only a testament to our team's creativity and technical prowess but also a significant step toward fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration. Furthermore, I have led several initiatives for our engineering leadership team focusing on culture and leadership training. These efforts aim to enhance our internal processes and create an environment that encourages growth, learning, and leadership development among our engineering staff.

Launched the Build Weeks program at BloomTech. Every 4 weeks students are assessed on their learnings by joining cross-functional teams comprised of Data Scientists, Web Developers, iOS/Android Engineers, and UX Designers to build out products based on limited requirements. They work for a week together, exercising their skills to build and deliver applications, data science solutions, and design flows that solve a problem. This program grew from 200 students to 3000 students over the course of the 2019 year.

Worked as the sole Front End Engineer with React to build the companies Enterprise Level Applications to fit their Sass model. I was responsible for leading the front end development in a team of 4 engineers each of whom were responsible for delivering across their discipline. We built multiple functioning applications that can handle thousands of users and their locks. There were lots of analytics dashboards built using D3 and React on the front end, as well as handling user authentication/permissions throughout the web apps.

I worked on the Agile Product Engineering team as an intern. I was primarily responsible for ensuring that all user interfacing products met the standards and quality as defined by the Product Manager. I helped re-factor the marketing website. I was responsible for fixing minor bugs and logging any bugs to the dev team and prioritizing bugs so as help control the bug squashing work flow.
